I'm a networking newby. I've linked my A3000 and G3 running OS9 and can successfully 'ping' to each machine. I have not benn able to share files, but I seem to have several options.
FTP would probably work, but I need a FTP server for the Mac (freeware is always nice!). I don't think a server is built into OS9.
Maybe I can use the file-sharing built into OS9 for talking to other Macs. Has anyone done this?
For years I've wanted all my computing needs to be pure Amiga solutions. Now I'm starting to compromise, especially when I can't find any Amiga solution. Examples: Mp3 file sharing, telescope control software and astronomical camera software. If I can keep my Amiga environment for most things, networking doesn't seem too bad.
