Crappy state of 90 degree PCMCIA adapters
« on: January 26, 2011, 03:20:09 PM »
So, these were made by few companies, my current one from AmigaKit sucks because I can't close the case with a WiFi card in place; also from AmigaKit.

Peanut butter and no jelly, whatcha gonna do?

I'm using the EZ Z4Tower, I can't live inside it like your Elbox. I wish there was one that just had a short ribbon cable, hint hint industrious types.

@nicholas - Got that covered.

Could you not just get another right angle adapter and plug it into your existing one and then have a slot that points upwards?
Back to action!

I have almost the same problem. its frustrating. they could have easily made it shorter.
iirc, in the end i modified (broke) the connector on dongle cable, so it fits.
Better sorry than worry.

Yes. Alas, the title of the thread expresses our shared disappointment. So the inside of my computer will look super crazy, Rube Goldberg style thanks to two adapters.

And it does work! You should take care lining up the connectors, because it's not perfectly guided. Looks like I can close this case, literally!
