The best use I've found for an internet connected Amiga is downloading WHDload games directly from the web!
3 Commodore file cabinets, 2 Commodore USB turntables, 1 AmigaWorld beer mug
Alienware M14x i7 laptop running AmigaForever

My AGA 1260 with IBrowse 2.4 is a fine experience for browsing anything amiga related (aminet, amiga.org with non CSS proxy, amibay, bboah, etc) and is good enough too for gmail.
I use it daily for that purpose.
You could also use Netscape or Internet Explorer inside a Shapeshifter emulation but that's not up to date either and sometimes worst.
10 Classic Amiga Computers so far: I have too many computers!!
