1084S Monitor Problem
« on: December 07, 2010, 05:49:59 PM »
Hello everyone,

I was hoping someone could help me. It seems as of late, my 1084S has trouble properly displaying PAL mode. The screen flickers, but the image is distorted. Tried adjusting vertical height etc., to no avail. Anyone know why this is happening? I hope the monitor is not bad, just got it. Using 'PAL' and 'BootPal' V.1.0 by Nico Francois.

Related specs:
A2000HD, rev 6.x
Kickstart 3.1
Fusion 68040, working but no pal in fast or slow mode
1 meg Agnus

Thanks!
Amigas:
A1000, 8mb Phoenix Fast-Ram Expansion
A2000HD, Kick 3.1, Fusion 68040, 20megs Fast Ram, Genlock

Post some images or a video - distortion can mean anything...

If you have shortened/squashed edges its a tube problem, roll can be a frequency issue... (don't know if that applicable to monitors). Just my experience :)

Thanks, I currently don't have a digital camera but I'll try to get something up. It's strange, it worked on an A500 I sold a couple of months ago...I hope it's not my A2000! :(
