case for amiga 4000
« on: November 03, 2010, 02:03:01 PM »
finding A4000D case seems hard. is there any standard PC desktop case that can be easily modified for A4000?
(my a4000 is in PC big tower now and it takes a LOT of space)
Better sorry than worry.

Modifying a PC case for a 4000 is not easy, unless you have reasonable metal working skills, as you have to raise the card mounting slots above the port holes on the edge of the motherboard. I have done this by hacking the back and base plate of an already butchered (not by me) 4000D case in to a PC tower.

hm, yes. well this big tower is done so that A4000d case fits inside, partially. the rest of amiga case has been cut :/
the problem is with daughterboard, its not fixated properly.
Better sorry than worry.
