Ben, over the years I've respected your messages among the tops. That hasn't changed, but how you're now spending your energy concerns me.
These things I'll say are actually with the hope that you succeed, though they may sound differently at first....
If you think your new venture with CUSA is a star, go for it. Start a new product, start a new market, start a real website with a new community that supports your efforts. Cast off the ghost of Commodore past and make a new entity all it's own. Though you may not wish to leave us "old timers" behind, in some fashion you must. The hopes and wishes of many of us that remain here can only be fulfilled by a phantom that does not now (and may never) exist. We are tired of chasing mirages. "Cold Hard Numbers" is now the name of the only beer we savor. You also should stop chasing that phantom and spend your time and energy on a new reality. There's nothing left to prove here. Your new venture is not Amiga/Commodore of old and shouldn't hope to be. Stop trying to convience this grumpy bunch that you can do something, and get on with doing it. There must be bigger/better things you can be concentrating on than trying to tame the barbs here. If not, then I'd really worry. In a fortuned future, maybe the new Kahuna could flesh out a few bones for the old phantom and community, but that time is not now.
My only request is that you do your best in avoiding adding any further bad history to the brand. The old girl has already had far too may sharlatan callers over the years.
Now go on.... scat. I don't want to see you wasting any more time with your old drinking buddies... at least until you get your chores done and over with.
