CDROM and CD32
« on: November 30, 2003, 08:55:23 PM »
Hello I wish to attach a CD-ROM to my A500 via my SCSI controller which is a A530 Turbo from GVP.  The system is operating system kickstart 2.04.  Which file system is the best to install, and can I run CD 32 applications under such a set up?

Thanks.

SFS, PFS, or FFS and no, you can't run cd32 specified apps, cos you'd need AGA to do this..
The Power RangerZ uses Amiga, and You??

My 500 with said controller is running Asim, though that's probably not the best choice anymore. Anything should be alright. AmiCDFS uses a lot of chip ram though.

For CD32 stuff, you'll need to find games that are ECS shovelware. Asim has a CD32 boot function, but I could never get it working. There's an old commercial utility called CDBoot that works pretty well.
