Which physical keyboard layout do you have and which keyboard map (see preferences/input) are you using?

You can also test the KeyShow tool in your workbench/tools directory.

You can use the excellent program CharMap, wich will tell you which key combinations are required for generating each character. get it from http://aminet.net/text/font/CharMap.lha

In my particular case, I just use SHIFT+2 and I get the @ symbol.

Hope it helps :)

The best way to take the Characters you see in the keyboard, just press shift + right alt and the key, (in this keyboard key 2) Example with my keyboard shift+right alt+2 = @

Shouldn´t be *that* hard, should it? Use KeyShow!

Are you from Norway? What keymap is selected in the Input Preferences? Are you using any OS other than AmigaOS? Are you running in emulation (WinUAE) or are you using a Key-Ra adapter to use the Amiga-Keyboard on a PC? Have you tried Alt or Shift+Alt? Have you found KeyShow (Workbench program - Tools or Utilities) and tried Alt & Shift?

Wait - Your Amiga keymap differentiates between left and right alt? That is just weird.

Here:
SETMAP d -> alt+2 ; no shift required, any alt will do

Original Spanish Amiga keyboards do not differentiate between left and right alt, both are the same. However, PC keyboards do.

You've got a standard Alt on the left and an AltGr (Alternate Graphics) key on the right.
