Hi everybody. I was wondering if anyone has had the following problem and, eventually, found a solution to fix it. I'm using Amithlon and recently installed the very nice FileRequester improver called ZRQ that I found on Aminet. Apart from a couple of other progs which showed to be incompatible with this utility (such as ClassAction and CybverWindow) I found that also YAM (the latest 2.4) fails to initialize properly when this file requester patch in installed, but what really astonishes me is that the error message reported by YAM is:
Error during startup
Can't create ARexx port (!)
I don't really see any logical explanation to that error message. I also tried another Filerequester improver, such as MFR (v. 2.0e, '030 version) from Stefan Stuntz which seems more compatible but not as good looking as ZRQ as far as GUI is concerned. The textviewer "Evenmore" (v. 0.43), for instance, fails with MFR but at least gives a more logical error message:
Cannot obtain visual info (or something like that)
whenever I attempt to load a new text file which would pup up a filerequester with the new GUI: this has more to do with the fact that this text viewer showed problems at initializing properly with this patch installed.
As I would really like to have either of the two file requester improvers installed (the Standard OS3.9 are not as good as one would expect), was wondering if anyone found a solution to fix this problem, esepcially the one relating to ZRQ, considering that I need to have YAM running as before installing the patch.
