No funny issues with mine, they just worked.  I walked into Best Buy and bought them off the shelf.

Ahhh okay then from a 'Bricks and Mortar' store, so no issues with worrying about if they are genuine then.

Another recommendation for Sandisk and yes, purchase at a real store - NOT ePay!

Thing is, buying RAM or flash memory from a brick and mortar store is a 2X price multiplier at the absolute best.

SanDisk is the best and the more Amiga compatible.

..but 2X cheap is generally still cheap.  Prices have dropped like crazy on these things, I think it's worth the extra $10-$20 for something you know is going to work, and don't forget the instant gratification factor, that's worth a few bucks.

True.

But there are companies that are fabricating a lot of FAKE CF products these days.

The theory is that the false products can be avoided at a brick and mortar store.

Okay well i purchased 2x 4GB Sandisk Ultra from an Ebay seller (please do not groan)

He is advertising *GENUINE*, or double your money back.  thing is, I chose him as the Ebay lists him in the Compactflash guide or what ever it is, he *IS* listed as a GENUINE seller.

Shops round me are like $60 or more for ONE card, I got 2 for $50.

Needless to say, i will be engaging Sandisk to verify its authenticity. (I have been rather heavy on a few sellers lately).

Actually, out of the three Ebay list, he is the only one left actively trading.
