A2090a Controller - Which SCSI HD to connect ?
« on: March 13, 2010, 04:56:12 PM »
Hi everyone,

I've an A2090a (autoboot) Rev. 5, SCSI controller card; is it
possible to connect an HD SCSI of 1 GByte (or more) size ?

There is a size limit ? Which HD model is good for the card
(Quantum, Seagate, ... ) ?

Is Ultra/Wide SCSI supported ?

Regards
Leonard

IIRC the 2090 has a size limit of 1 GB. Ultra / Wide shouldn't be a problem (some wides require wide termination) apart from the A2090 being a major pita...

As Zac67 noted, the 2090 is a royal pain to set up and use. Best suggestion I can offer, is to get a 2091 card w/7.0 ROMs (6.6 at least). It will help keep your sanity.
