I'm considering buying an A1200 instead of an A500. This is because I realised I may want to connect them in a network or whatever. Or connect a HDD and do a little more serious (not really) work.
My questions are twofold:
1. Is it possible, if I get an Amiga Technologies version with the sometimes problematic floppy, to boot games from an external floppy drive instead? If so, how would I do this? Doesn't the Amiga have to recognize the external drive in some way before accessing it? With the A500 I have (which is now dead) I had to run WB for the computer to use the external drive. Can I boot a game from within WB?
2. I know some old games are hard to run on the A1200 without HD-installing them or using some degrader. My favorite games include Giana Sisters, IK+, Ports of Call, Bubble Booble and Defender of The Crown. Is anyone here running them successfully on their A1200? :-)
