Validation issue w/ my A1200's "disk"
« on: March 03, 2010, 11:58:18 AM »
I recently replaced the suddenly-ominous-sounding 2GB SCSI HD in my A1200 '060 tower with a CF card on a SCSI-to-ATA adapter.  This device:

I hooked it up to the SCSI chain, copied the old disks contents over to the ~2GB partition on the 4GB card, and booted up.  I got a disk not validated error.  I let AmigaOS do its thing, clicked Retry, and it rebooted -- I got the Indivision FFixer screen as I do at every boot -- and then it came right back and gave me the same message.  Ad infinitum.

When it gives me the error, I can see the activity light on the card board lit up so it seems to be doing the revalidate thing.  It eventually stops, and that's when I do a Retry click.

Any ideas?  Thanks.

I used this when I had a validation error on my 1200's CF drive:

Took a try or two, but that fixed it for me.
