Interest in PCMCIA Hard Drive
« on: February 19, 2010, 01:38:11 AM »
I have the opportunity to pick up a few 170MB pcmcia hard drives locally. I am assuming that they would work in A600 and A1200's - maybe someone can confirm.

If so, would anyone be interested in some if I could get the price <= $10???

As long as they're type II cards (single height) they could work, but most of those are type III (height of two cards, most likely won't fit into the slot in the 1200/600.)

Unless they're specifically Amiga PCMCIA hard drives, there are probably going to be driver issues. The cfd package on Aminet should work, but the drives won't be bootable.
