Nice to hear from you Wayne, what Dr Who's are you watching? The tacky BBC special effects props made in sheds or the newer CGI ones? :)

I must say, amiga.org is a much better place now that Wayne whatisname is gone.
What the hell are you on about? Nothings changed (if you ask me)...

They just need a white point star or is it a zero point module, or quantum jump drive, or a Infinite Improbability Drive or even something powered by "Bistro Maths" thats a just a stones through from here or there.
was Enterprise Vault (Its an Exchange Fail!), now its EMC Avamar, Dedupe for mostly everything including brain cells.

Given that they were put back behind the Time Lock, I doubt that would be a concern...

I think they need much more ... perhaps the hooking up of the logic circuits of a Bambleweeny Fifty-Seven Sub-Meson Brain to an atomic vector plotter suspended in a strong Brownian Motion producer - say a nice hot cup of tea, would do the trick ...

I AM THE GHOST OF WEBMASTERS PAST...  HEED MY WORDS OH YE OF LITTLE HUMOR...

(bwahahaha, sorry, spent the last 24 hours watching the Dr. Who marathon and just couldn't resist)..

For those of you who've missed the proverbial meeting...

In August 2009, an agreement was reached which allowed me to sell the domain name and properties of this web site (notably the software and domain name) to a new owner.  Effectively, allowing me to "retire" which worked out well since my career has taken a shot in the back as of late.

That agreement was finalized towards the end of November, paid in full, "the check cleared" etc.

Bill Panagouleas (aka, BillP, aka, Pyromania) acted as a third-party to help facilitate the sale of the web site between myself and an investor who -- for reasons of his own choosing -- wants to leave the Web site in the capable hands of the same staff that handled it for years, minus me of course.

The owner is a fan of the Amiga and wants to help keep it alive in the hearts and minds of the faithful followers.  He doesn't want fame, nor fortune, nor control, nor to become the new sacrificial Moobunny Anti-Christ.

As such, he just wanted Amiga.org to continue in a non-sold-to-Lesbians fashion.  To that end, he asked Bill Panagouleas to simply "let it run" and to keep things running exactly as they always have been.

There is nothing nefarious or "hidden" or "conspiratorial" about ANY OF THIS.  It's just an Amiga user that -- unlike me -- doesn't enjoy the spotlight, and doesn't want to get in the way of Amiga users (as I tended to do occasionally).

As for Minuous and anyone else that obviously misses me, whether or not the site is "better" is entirely up for debate.

While I don't see the site as having changed AT ALL, I think it is better -- at least for me-- because personally speaking, my stress level associated with running it and putting up with all this silly melodrama has disappeared, allowing me to concentrate on things like -- oh, I dunno -- finding a new job instead.

If that sounds kinda weird or disrespectful, I apologize.  It's not intended, but it's honest.  I love most of the people in this community.  A lot of you are truly brilliant people who love thinking outside the box, and that's miraculous these days.

Unfortunately, with brilliance comes the tendency of a lot of you to be very "tin hat", paranoid of everything new, and afraid of every shadow when it comes to people trying to help this community.  That, I don't miss.

Whether or not you believe me, the new owner(s) and Bill Panagouleas ONLY have the best intentions in trying to save this portal for the future.  I'd ask that you just say "thank you" and leave it at that, but hey, this is the Amiga community and frankly, I know better...  :)

As for the outdated page(s), I'm sure they're working to update all that stuff, but please understand you're each talking about nearly 15 years of pages and information hidden in dozens of places that even I've forgotten about.

If you see something outdated, just let Pyromania know and I'm sure they'll add it to the list.

Hope all is well, and Happy New Year.

Wayne aka whatshisname.
