Cyberstorm ppc ppc cpu DIED !!!!

Hi guys
i got a big problem with my A4000

my cyberstormppc card has failed me the ppc CPU has died and isnt seen anymore.

there a program cpu060 (like cpu) that let you see what kind of cpu's youve got and what kind of ppc but no ppc showing up.

allong the 060 still works im trying to install a noppc amiga os 3.9 with afaos (amikit reworked to work on amiga) but a soon i install afaos the system keeps unstable, keeps crashing on simulair things like
ramlib (mcpramlibpatch installed) no go then it is workbench failure or con or magicmenu etc.


HOW can i get a stable system with cybergrafx (with cybervisionppc)

oh yeah forgot to tell i almost lost my cybervisionppc do heating prob.

so installed a new fan on it now it get warm but not to hot and the board is still working.


Can someone help me here

Have you tried "WhichAmiga" ? It also reports the PPC CPU if present. If it is not detected there probably is a hardware problem with your card.

You could check with "Tahoe", he is also from the Netherlands and might be able to help you test the card.

Other than that there is a *magical* repair guys in France, or so I've read", that can fix some issues on these cards...

The "magical" guy can be reached at http://www.amigacenter.com   His name is Jean-Jacques Boulet. Pretty cool guy, though I'm afraid that if your PPC is fried, he can't replace it. You can try whichamiga and contact him.

Do you really use the PPC for anything? I would write more but Avatar is about to start. iPhone rules!

Edit after the movie:  The movie "Avatar" is NOT all hype, like I thought it might be.  It is really great and I am glad that I was able to see it at 3pm and miss all the crowds.  I think it might just be the first (mostly) animated movie to get a best picture Oscar award.  It is awesome and visually stunning!
