Hi
I've used WinUAE a few times to install WB 3.1 and 3.9 onto the SFS partitioned CF card I use as a hard drive in my A4000D. But I've noticed that the permissions on some files isn't quite right.
The files I've noticed this on are the usual suspects that get accessed when I'm tweaking the install:
* startup-sequence (can't be written to)
* wbpattern.prefs (can't be written to)
* no doubt others I haven't come across as yet
I also noticed that if I install 3.9 over 3.1 there are I think (from memory) 3 places where permission errors occur but selecting 'Delete File' seems to get me passed those.
The odd thing is that I have to turn the 'Delete' permission flag on to be able to 'write' to the file...the 'write' flag by itself doesn't seem to get the job done (this seems VERY weird to me).
Has anyone else witnessed this and, if so, is it possible to get around it somehow? I use the CF card in WinUAE via scsi.device (r/w) if it makes any difference.
Thanks
