I don't really see what use we'd have for ISA and PCMCIA when we have USB. PCI might be nifty, but PCI over USB is not going to be much fun speedwise...

Nice thought, but it isn't that cheap.  To connect a single PCI card you would need the host card ($89), the PCI daughter card (149 - only 3 slot available now)... and then you would need Chris to write the Deneb driver and then somebody to write each driver for each PCI card you want to connect.

Meanwhile Mediator cards start at $240 including a selection of drivers.
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

No, what I'm thinking would get me banned from this site...

Fair one.

Heck, I didn't realise until now that the A2000 didn't have a Mediator model available.

I suspect that most of the actual USB <=> ISA/PCI bus logic is in an FPGA on their host bus adapters.
