Mouse wheel problems in Dopus
« on: October 17, 2010, 08:42:59 PM »
I apologize for (re)posting here. This question was also posted in eab forums, but no solution was found. I found out that there has been a similar post here before, but with no solution. That's why I thought I'll ask once more here, if someone could help me with this.

So, I'm having trouble with my mouse wheel... Succesfully installed Micromys v3 driver and Freewheel is also enabled (Classic wb Lite v24).

Wheel works fine in WB windows, but in Dopus only the slider (or scroll bar) moves, but not the content of the Dopus window?! I noticed that if I save the settings in Freewheel and try Dopus straight away (no reboot) the wheel works as supposed. But after reboot Dopus somehow "loses the wheel" and again only the scroll bar moves.. If I then again change the setting to either one of those two, Dopus works until next reboot. Strange. Seems that Freewheel settings are not really saved?

Running A1200/1230IV/32MB/4Gb/Classic WB Lite v 24. The mouse is a old cordless Logitech hooked up to Micromys v3.

Any clues?

DOpus supports the mouse wheel by itself, if does not need FreeWheel. Unfortunately FreeWheel cannot be made to ignore specific applications (except MUI).

Change FreeWheel settings to move the active window and not the window under the cursor. Then DOpus will move twice as fast as it should, but it works at least.

Seems your config file is lost somewhere. Have you put freewheel in the wbstartup drawer ? Check if the config file is in the same drawer as the program (in my case in wbstartup).

Yes, I noticed that I can get the wheel working in Dopus with just the Micromys driver in the startup. But If I enable freewheel, wheel only works if I go to the FW prefs and save. It does not matter which option I choose for the scrolling. Weird...

I have the cfg ad FW itself in the wbstartup.

Anything more I could test? This is no big deal, but using wheel in Dopus and WB would be a nice bonus :)
