As in, with a hot glue gun that I used in craft classes at school?

Would superglue melt the processor?

Like this ...

superglue is okay to use on CPU's but it's a bugger to remove if the fan stops working later on

I think you are supposed to use CPU cement, which acts to draw heat away from the CPU.

you could use CPU glue but all you need to keep the fan in place over the cpu is a couple of blobs of hot glue on the four corners of the CPU then press the fan in place

the glue then forms a good solid bond once cooled

Even though WHDLOAD makes games more compatible you'll prob still have probs with the 040, better to either sell it and buy and 030 or upgrade it to an 060.

Please explain.  I'm running an Apollo'40 in my 1200 that I'm setting up in my livingroom attached to the TV for games. Haven't tried WHDload yet. Getting files onto this unit from the internet is a multi step process.

040 is the most incompatible cpu for games. Strangely enough even the 060 is more compatible although it's newer.

I have heatsink paste for when I'm doing normal PC CPUs and HSFs, but I doubt that bonds in quite the way I would need this to...?

Are any 060 accelerators on sale these days?  How much could I get for an 040 do you think?

I sold mine a few years ago for around 85 euros on eBay. Not much but maybe when you are lucky you could get a bit more for it...
