A1200 cd-rom
« on: September 08, 2009, 08:58:50 PM »
Hi

Does anyone own an official Amiga 1200 CD1200 the never released A1200 CD-ROM drive reported in the media around May 1994 and due out Autumn that year. The Big Book did have a link to a site with a protype black one but that is no longer on the site. I am trying to find out if there were any released.

Picture from the Abime site

Wow, that's a blast from the past. I remember seeing the picture of the drive, it looks like half a CD32. I don't know know if anyone got hold of one though.

OT: I've definitely still got those coverdisks shown in the page scan, I might still have the magazine somewhere too, but i've only consciously kept a certain few magazines (Amiga Format issue 100, Last AF, Last CU Amiga, Last Amiga Power etc etc).

A1200 (No. 2) - M-TEC 68030 50MHz, 4GB CF, KS 3.0, OS 3.0

Non-CBM - Atari STe, Atari Falcon, Apple ][e, ZX Spectrum, CPC6128.
Gone but not forgotten (and slowly getting them back): CPC464, C64, Vic-20.

I may have a problem
