(Attention: SID chips are not included with the Catweasel card!) Catweasel MK4plus PCI Fourth Generation, Reloaded
The Catweasel MK4plus replaces the Catweasel MK4, which is sold out and discontinued. The main changes are of cosmetic nature, but there have also been improvements made following customer feedback in some places.

The one easily visible change is that the new card is no longer low-profile PCI compliant. This feature of the old Catweasel MK4 was rarely used by customers, so it was decided to use the increased space for a better arrangement of the two SID sockets. These are more easily accessible now. Additional filters in the audio part are geared towards filtering noise from high-performance graphics cards and low-quality power supplies. Another novelty is the external audio jack and an angled internal audio connector for better accessibility.

The improvements compared to the Catweasel MK3 can be read on the Catweasel MK4 information page.

The last email response i got from Jens said he would not be developing Vista 64 Bit Drivers.

The information is based on an email response I got just after Vista was publicly released. Since Vista and Windows 7 drivers are almost identical, if enough people request it Jens might release them.

I think that 32 bit Vista drivers will be good since the Windows 7 uses the same Kernel as Vista it will works. Windows Xp is a operating system that will become dead. Why not to develop Vista/Windows 7 drivers?

Jens was speaking about *64 bit drivers*, so I am quite sure the current Catweasel drivers for XP 32 bit will still work with Vista or Windows 7. If they do not and Jens is not going to publish newer drivers (which I don't really suspect), then you can still use the Catweasel on Linux. My CW MK3 runs fine on Debian Linux with Kernel 2.6.30 and drivers from here: http://llg.cubic.org/cw/ (the patch to work with recent kernels was done by a friend of mine ;)). On Linux you can use your catweasel on any computer which runs Linux and has a PCI-bus (Alpha, Amiga, Apple, Intel 32/64 bit, etc). There is also a separate driver called "catweasel" to use the SID and the joystick-ports.
