Few things that I have in mind...
Firebord & Mozilla sources are:
- too huge to port and manage (I don't know a single professionial programmer who do that for that ridicolous quantity of money!)
- too linux libraries depending (I don't want my 'libs:' full of linux stuff!)
The resulting Mozilla or Firebird browser is:
- too slow to use (tried on Win, MacOS 9 and X)
- too many things that we don't need
Amiga ideal browser need to be:
- ready as soon as possible
- compact and responsive
- conform to today basics standards (css, layer, ilayer, javascript, ...)
- plugin capable (flash and acrobat)
- expandable with future parsing methods (xml, xsl, svg, external java machines, ...)
In my personal experience Amiga's better browser is Ibrowse but I'm really curiuos about the khtml project from AWeb guys so:
why not move money from the Amizilla project to one the existing project above?
Obiously we need to ask every one who gave some money at the Amizilla project by opening a public forum...
