Amiga Co-founder, Dave Morse, passed away.
« on: November 09, 2007, 08:18:51 PM »
It is with deep sadness that I report that Dave Morse, the co-founder of Amiga Computer (Jay's business partner), has passed away.

Dave was a true master of business and trust. Few people know that Amiga was as much a product of Dave as it was from Jay.

Dave and I worked together on several technology businesses since Amiga. He had an amazing ability and intuition in the business domain.

Dave will be missed. Here's my personal tribute...
In Memory of Dave Morse

-Carl Sassenrath

Is that all you got? I\\\'ll take your best shot!

Tis sad.
Earth has a lot of things other folks might want... like the whole planet. And maybe these folks would like a few changes made, like more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and room for their way of life. - William S. Burroughs

Recently reading "The Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore" by Brian Bagnall, I realised how influential David Morse was to the foundation of the Amiga legacy. It's a bit of a shock to learn that he passed away right after I finished reading the book. Thanks a lot Dave for a brief yet great moment spent together in computer history.

To Dave and his family,

Thank you for your commitment, dedication, vision, and passion.  Dave helped to bring a human quality to the cold world of technology.  He will forever be remembered as a pioneer.

I wish I could have taken the opportunity to meet someone who has affected my life so dramatically.  When one day I meet you, Jay, Mitchy, and the others, there'll be a round on me.  Even one for Joe Pillow (though I hear he's a light-weight these days.)

I dream to make half as much of an impact by the time I am 2^6.  Thank you.
