In light of the recent Speedball 2 remake announcement from Frogster Interactive, and the recent death of game composer Richard Joseph, who created several soundtracks for games made by the Bitmap Brothers, I thought I’d make you aware of a recent feature article I wrote about The Bitmap Brothers and their early, pioneering work in the world of action and platformer games. Article includes video clips of most of the early games.

Browsed around youtube watching some amiga videos and came over a atariST video of speedball2: http://youtube.com/watch?v=OIH4EH3gY40&mode=related&search=
I did not know that that atari version was this crappy. I thought the atari st had a pretty decent sound chip? The sound in this game is very inferior to the amiga version.
