Computer City introduces the PC/TV case, a computer case with built-in 15" TFT screen and TV Tuner, with space for any microATX sized mainboard.

More information and pictures on Computer City's homepage.

Hi,

I had one of these in Cyprus years ago.
My mate was using them to build PCs for Banks to use and he gave me one to see if I would like it.

From what I recall these were the reasons I gave it back to him. (it was so long ago my memory isnt that hot)
* Was a real pain to get to inside
* everything was crampt and airflow wasnt the greatest. From what I remember things were getting pretty hot.
* The monitor wasnt such a great quality display
* 15" just wasnt big enough. hehehehehehehe sounds rude hehehehehehehehe

If they were selling it cheaper then I would say it would be nice to have in a bedroom so not to need a TV.

The PC/TV case is prices at € 579,-.

To pay £400 for the case is a spicey meatball
I wouldnt pay £400 for a monitor, let alone a 15" one.

One last thing im wondering about, these are the same case/monitors that I had 3yrs ago, are they still being made or are these old stock that are being sold. Warrenty and the quality of them Im just thinking about.

I agree.  That's pricey for an empty case + CRT monitor.

Didn't Amstrad make computers like this back in the Amiga days?  I seem to remember the big kock against them was the power supply would tend to go out, and since it was oddly shaped, you would be out the entire computer while it was serviced by one of the few places with parts.

Enlight make 15" and 17" TFT  LCD PCs that are microATX compatible. And look a lot sexier.

Hi,

The Enlight cases look ok only they all use low profile PCI only and (I think) only slimline cd/dvd's.

We also carry the Tyra CS2 case which is a bit more exclusive and technical look, and does have space for full-heigth PCI and normal sized CD/DVD drive:
Tyra CS2 website

Cheers,
Ron

Agreed.  I like all of Neovo's designs.

@FastRobPlus
It's not a Neovo design, it's a Tyra design. It will take any TFT screen that has vesa specified mounting  screws.

No, it is a 15" TFT as it says in the description, not CRT.

Ah okay, was fooled by the appearance of the case. Looks very CRT-ish :-).
