Just a thought, was thinking about fitting a SCSI drive inside one.... Would it require removal of the shielding?

Oh right, I remember you mentioning them. So what sort of transfer speeds are available on a Fast SCSI II bridged to a 2.5" drive?

From what I've understood, you will almost be able to reach the same max data transfer rates as with a using a real SCSI disk . Of course seektimes will be better on SCSI disks, but when you take in overall performance of a newer IDE drive, price on these & silencefactor... you got yourself a good deal...

Cheers!
