I would also like to try the rom in UAE. :-D
Have you tried to use a rom image in UAE yet?
Does it work?

Ugh.  Horrid little computer.  Glad it was stillborn.  Looked like a little dustbuster alone, and like a garbage can when mounted on it's tower.  (Yeah, yeah, I know.)
Back away from the EU-SSR!

Normally I wouldn't condone such action. But This time I agree. I want an image also

How much to part with it?

I've been collecting rare computers for some time and this would be a crown jewel.

Excellent stuff, I guess I'm one of these odd people who actually thought that the case looked cool, if for no other reason then it wasn't imediately aparent that it was a computer.

Glad to hear that you've got it up and running, always a good sign  :-P

And yes I would gladly sell vital organs to get my hands on one of these things, or at the very least a motherboard :-D

UPDATE
A "walker working" page has now gone up.
I've also added pics to the insides (back and inside upper casing) and front page (various).

--

If I can get KS / WB 3.2 off it I will but I'll need help.
Can an Amiga HD be read in a PC?

There were apparantely a few of these, what happened to them though is anyone's guess...

Different - thats for sure, I think the colour is wrong though, it should be black.
I liked the fact they were willing to try out such a completely way out design.

Still surprised at the interest, 1750 visitors so far!  I got OSNews'd earlier in the month and there weren't as many visitors (they did manage to take 7GB in one day though).

I'll help! :-) You just need to use transrom that comes with WinUAE to get an image file of the 3.2 ROM. Perhaps somebody else could explain the exact useage details of transrom? It's a while since I used it!

Yes it can, using WinUAE. Just plug the hard disk into the PC as you would with any other hard disk, but DON'T do anything to it in Windows. It will show in the PC's BIOS at startup but it won't show as a drive letter in Windows Explorer. When you load WinUAE, just select the "Add Hardrive" option on the 'Hard Drives' page, and choose the Amiga hard drive from the pull-down list.

I downloaded a new version of WinUAE but this feature doesn't work on my system (Win98 First Edition - I only use it for Photoshop hence the old version...)

Can it be made to work in Win98?

The same goes for me, even though I'm not a frequent user of my Amiga anymore. Really a pity since it's quite packed considering that it's an Amiga  :-(

Anyway, the Walker pages woke me up again. Thanks!  :-)
