IOSPIRIT: IBrowse 2.3 now also available as CD-version
« on: November 25, 2003, 03:48:48 PM »
At IOSPIRIT a CD-version of IBrowse 2.3 and IBrowse 2.3 Update is now also available. The CD contains the browser itself, the new documentation (in English) and other goodies.

Instead of a keyfile, each CD ships with a certificate, that can be exchanged against a keyfile in the customer's iospirit.de account.

Due to legal reasons regarding the export of encryption technology, AmiSSL is not contained on the CD, but can be downloaded for free from the iospirit.de-download area.

Dealers interested in ordering CD-versions of IBrowse are invited to contact IOSPIRIT by eMail.

Who said anything about a printed manual?  The documentation is HTML-based and is on the CD.

I hope the CD is a pressed and printed real CD and not a CD-R with "IB2.3" written on it in felt tip. It wouldn't be the first time I've bought Amiga software and its come on unreliable CD-R. Grrr.

I know what you mean KennyR, I bought uhm...ah yes...Foundation DC. I frowned when I saw it was a laserprinter CD inlay with a burnt CD. I emailed Paul Burkey and it was a legitimate copy after all.

Hm...I might reinstall that game....

I bought fxPaint 2.0 from IOSpirit when it was released and I was pretty sure I would get a "home burned" CD with a glued sticker on it (as I got with Tornado3D).
But this was a "real" CD, very nice to see...
So there might be a chance that the IB-CD holds the same high quality.

Thanks Felix for that =)

Kind regards
