Hacking Contest Promotes Security

In Las Vegas eight teams of hackers are fighting eachother in a hacking contest. In a 'Capture the Flag' kinda game, the teams try to defend there own server and attack the ones of their adversaries.

"This sort of adversarial testing shows what is possible--and not--with security," said Crispin Cowan, chief scientist at Linux security seller Immunix and the leader of the Immunix team. "We value this competition, because we think it is a better evaluation of security than common criteria."

Haha.  The biggest fault in any machine is good ol' human error.

I still think it's an interesting idea, though I can't see how it would be entertaining without some NASA-style "Master Alarms" thrown in for good measure.   ;-)
