New AROS site
« on: March 28, 2003, 01:21:50 PM »
Finally here it is! The design is brand new and most of the docs have been updated (though some are still quite outdated unfortunately).

We hope you like the new site as much as we do!

It has been a huge amount of work for the people involved, and a HUGE thanks must go to Adam Chodorowski for actually reading through and converting all the old docs! The site structure was planned by Adam Chodorowski and Daniel Holmen, and implemented by Adam. The graphic design and layout of the site was done by Daniel Holmen.

Thanks also go to the rest of the AROS Development Team, as about half of them have been involved in the site restructuring in some way or another.

AROS has a cool looking mascot. ;-)

I like the layout of the site and it's great to see AROS in continued development.

I am going to download the latest ISO this weekend.

I've just updated the ISO on my site, it has both Quake and Doom (shareware versions only, if you have the full game WADs see if you can figure out how to load them in the AROS game) on it. Quake is very flaky, don't expect it to work...

Georg has added some new Icons too... take a look  :-)

I'm going off line for a few weeks, so I won't be able to answer any Emails, but I can answer Amiga.org Private Messages.

It is? Have you done a "stack 300000" before starting
it? BTW: To avoid wb colors getting trashed one should
start quake with -cgfx option.

Well, not really "now": those were ported very long time ago :)
