The Offical Amiga.Org IRC Channel on Webnet has now gone web based.

NeoFree has kindly allowed us to use his web hosting service to house a Web Based IRC Client to connect to the Amiga.Org Chat Channel.

The website can be found here ...

Just give yourself a nickname,  connect and  chat away.

Make it a link on the main page....like somewhere under 'system' or something. Iin a few days this news topic wil sink to the bottomless pits of a.org.

Here is a list of which browsers work with the IRC web interface so far.

Browsers that work:
IBrowse 2.3 :-D
AWeb 3.4 68k open source version on AmigaOS 3.9
IE 5.1 on MacOS X v10.1.5 (textinput gadget barely visible)
IE 5.5 on Win2K & Win98
IE 6.02 on Win2K & WinXP Home Edition
Mozilla 1.2.1 on Win2K
Mozilla 1.2.1 on MacOS X 10.1.5
Netscape 4.73 on Win98
Netscape 6.2 on Win98
Opera 6 Win98
Opera 6 MacOS X 10.1.5

Browsers that don't work:
IBrowse 2.2 on AmigaOS 3.9 (crashes)
Voyager 3.2 on AmigaOS 3.9 (crashes)
Opera 7 on Win2K does nothing (blank screen)

Thanks to elektro, AmigaUFO, Reticuli (and all the nicks ;-) ), Whabang, WoDK, and nOMAAM who helped with testing the webchat interface on #amiga.org@webchat.org!
