Amiga 1000 w/1080 Monitor - Cable?
« on: December 04, 2002, 08:50:20 PM »
I recently acquired a used Amiga 1000 with a 1080 monitor. No monitor cable was included. I can connect the two using standard RCA video (composite) cable and I get a decent quality picture.  I know the 1080 monitor supports many different kinds of connections... which is the best? I want to locate a cable to use the best connection, but I don't know what to look for. Any help would be appreciated!

Hmm...  I had forgotten what the 1080 monitor was.  A quick google says it's just an early version of the 1084, so a 1084 Amiga monitor cable would be your best quality picture.  (And should be quite a bit better than composite)

I don't have a 1084 handy, but I think they used a 9-pin Sub-D connector.  (Looks like a joystick or 9 pin serial port)  So, the C= 23 -> 9 pin cable should be the ticket.
