Amiga won Assembly 2001 demo, 4k intro
« on: August 06, 2001, 12:25:33 PM »
Amigans were surprisingly well represented at Assembly 2001 in Helsinki, Finland. The largest demoscene event in the world was attended by some 4000 people. Amiga demo Lapsuus by MatureFurk won the combined Amiga / PC demo compo. Amiga intros also won the first and second places of the combined 4k intro competition.

The combined demo compo trophy was presented in person by RJ Mical, one of the original creators of Amiga and the maker of Intuition. Mr. Mical got huge aplodes as he proclaimed "Amiga rules!" to the audience, which comprised mostly of PC owners. He was also extensively interviewed and hosted a seminar at the show.
