On AmiMSN web page you have info about this problem...

"If you get an unable to obtain ticket message, delete the stunnel.pid file. Do not delete stunnel.rnd"

that is reason why dont work..

I have exactly the same problem here.

After another hiatus, soon i'll be completing the IRC support (expect a month wait though), making the shell un-necessary.

I'll also be buying a sam440ep-flex when it's available and AOS4.1.

Don't expect me to learn any new programming language. I don't have the patience at the moment. I get home from work and want to relax :) (though i've committed myself to learning Japanese before 6 years time. I just like the language!) .. i'll definitely try to keep AmiMSN working, so even if I don't add features or fix bugs, I do check every now and then to make sure it still connects to the servers.

I know the last post is OLD (nearly a year).. rxlibnet is part of rxsocket. If you read the .readme, all the requirements are listed there with links to obtain them.

I hope this program continues to work if SabreMSN suddenly stops working. Sabre uses MSNP8 which could disappear any minute as XP support is phased out. Windows Messenger, bundled with XP, uses it.

I've updated AmiMSN to work on OS4.1 (except file transfers may cause a crash).

An unreleased beta of SabreMSN can send files to AmiMSN successfully, too.

If he doesn't continue, isn't there a Trillian clone on Amiga that would do MSN anyway?

The closest you would get to Trillian (msn, y!, irc, etc) would be
Jabberwocky, a jabber-client for Amiga OS.
http://jabberwocky.amigaworld.de/

I tried AmiMSN, among others for OS3.9, primarily for doing filetransfers.
I could not (either) get it to work fully, so I discovered Jabberwocky.
But since jabber runs over servers which often don't allow filetransfers,
I ended up using IRC instead (wookiechat).

I for one thinks it would be *NICE* with a fully fledged working messenger
for the Amiga, be it AmiMSN, Jabber or something else !
It should also be able to use other networks like yahoo of course.
intuition inside!

@Voyager74:

Try the jabber server jaim.at !
As far as I know, it *does* allow file transfers.
