can anyone recommend a good program to transfer d64 and d81 files over to a 64/128...i know I have a connector lying around whereby I can connect the Miggy to a real 1541/1581 drive...

There is a package on Aminet, I think it's called EIC. Works fine but for D64 only. There is a DOS Driver for 1581 disks on there too that just mounts the disk on AmigaDOS.

I use this bunch of utilities: http://aminet.net/package/misc/emu/Easy1541

Does everything I've needed, even if there's no GUI.

easy1541 is rather unsafe though and slow. Much easier to get an old pc to do the job.

not sure if its true or not but cant you blow out your amiga port if you misuse the transfer software?
