Amiga OS4 / Exult Ultima 7

After installing Exult on an Amiga OS4 1200 BlizzardVision PPC system, and putting the Ultima 7 data files into a BlackGate subdirectory, I try running Exult in a shell, but I get the following error:

Couldn't create scaled surface
Couldn't set video mode (320, 240) at 8 bpp depth: No video mode large enough for 320x240.

Can anyone tell me what I need to change in order to get Exult/Ultima to work?

Do you have 320x240x8bit screen mode made? Check with cgxmode and make one if you don't have one already.

hi - thanks for letting me know about setting up the custom screenmode in p96mode.
I had to look up the tutorial for using p96mode, but after setting it up, I did get exult to work. I am sort of excited - I finished U7 a long time ago, but this is the first game I have successfully run on Amiga OS4, and it runs real smooth.
