Thinking of selling some vintage computers (non-Amiga)

I'm thinking of selling off some of the hardware I've rescued over the years.  Anyone interested in non-Amiga stuff?

Up for consideration:

An IBM PC jr - comes with matching monitor, keyboard (not the chicklett kind), and parallel port side car.  I may have working 5.25 Dos disks for this if I can find them.

Hewlett Packard Hp-85 - this was Hps personal conputer from 1980.  It was an all-in-one design and very cool.  

An IBM 5150 - original PC updated with a hard drive.  I have the matching green monitor.

Macintosh LC II - pizza box color Macs with 68030 (I have 3 of these)

eOne - eMachines' Wintel all-in-one iMac look alike with matching kb and mouse (need new cable).

Osborne 1 - not working, will probably keep it anyway

All are in good cosmetic condition.  The eOne has a bad built-in CD drive.  The LCs have no hard drives.  The Hp needs it's gummy roller (in the tape drive) replaced.

Are there any other vintage nerds here besides me?

Picked up and restored a TRS-80 Model III a few months ago. 48K, 2 drives. Had to bust all the key brackets on the keyboard and clean all the contacts under the keys. Reassembled and is working great! In good cosmetic condition too. Ah the advantages of being a tech in a retail store at the same place for 15 yrs. My regulars find this stuff and bring it to me.  :-D
Same customer brought me a near mint IBM 5150 W/CGA monitor as well. :-)

I never got into TRS-80s.  They ran a variant of CP-M, right?

If the Trash-80 dabbled in CP-M, I was not aware of it. We used it in school to learn BASIC programming and networking. I do know that it was based on the Zilog 80 processor, a VERY popular processor back in the day and one I run across daily in the arcade business: Pac-Man, etc. Even the Timex Sinclair, Sega Genesis sound chip and Sega Master System used 'em. I'd like a functional TRS-80 to simply display in my electronics museum of sorts.

Yes, reading your link, it seems there was TRS-dos and Basic (like most early 8-bits).  CP-M was standardized into the Model IV.

The Hp-85 (also with a custom OS and Basic) was a contemporary of these machines. I think CP-M could be added to the 85, 86 and 87.

Yes, the Model 2 had CP/M

Darn, very tempting.. But I just picked up a TRS-80 4P yesterday for my personal collection.

My Hp-85s are in good condition and they have something of a cult following, too.  They seem to be collectable on eBay and a company in California sells refurbed 85s for somewhere in the $500 range (no kidding).  I'd want a chunk of change for one. Grin.

I was just about to put a C64 and 1541 on eBay, what an awful time to sell anything!  Maybe I should clean the basement next year. Grin.

@ Redrumloa: Welcome to the 4P club! I really only dabble in BASIC on mine, but I adore the machine nonetheless. I even have a printer for it, bigger and heavier than the 4P itself.

Spring and early summer are the worst times for retro auctions for some reason. You would be better off waiting for fall/winter.

Thanks :-) I'll probably set up some CP/M disks for it, just gotta find them online... Chances are I will re-cap it like I did my Televideo TS-803H and I will probably de-yellow both when I have time. It is funny though, "portable computer" eh? The 4P has to be heavier than my SX64 and my Kaypro 10 combined :lol:

Oh BTW, I actually got this from the original owner, with original manuals. You have 4P manuals?
