The Lorraine was designed as a game system... Adopted by Commodore to replace the then existing home computer line, Commodore 64, 128, etc.

All this back in the days when computers were mainly business machines. A computer in the home? Why? Who would want a computer in their home? Game consoles... That's the way to go.

Ever notice history seems to be repeating itself? The lines between game console and home computer are blurring once again. XBOX, PS2... Hmmm...

A4000D, A3640 OC-36.3MHz, custom tower, Mediator A4000D. Diamond Banshee 16M, Indivision AGA 4000, GVP HC+8.

Mac Mini 1.5GHz, that might run MorphOS someday, when the fools who own it come to the realization that 30 minutes just isn\'t enough time to play with it enough to decide whether or not you like it enough to cough up $200.

 - Someone please design SOME kind of DIY accelerator for the A4000. :D -

What was the Amiga designed for?

Designed by and for people from another planet, but they forget to showup so it was tailored then for human needs, hence very advanced for its time but never got the backing it deserved. unearthly ;-)
Think Area 51, it has absolutly nothing to do with it but i thought i add that for the sake of typing :-)
