Error 216 just means directory not empty. Try doing:

delete ALL FORCE

If that doesn't work, try:

cd
delete #?
cd /
delete

Another thing to try might be deleting the directory in a tool like DOpus 4, which will delete the directory's contents before deleting the directory itself.

Managed !!

I booted up from a WB 3.0 disk and it allowed me to delete it .

Seems 3.9 was not allowing but 3.0 lets me :-)
