I am going to move the stuff on E-Bay tomorrow.

Just opened a PayPal dispute, first one ever. :-(

These "perfect mint condition" games arrived in totally used and worn condition... I received only the disks for Gods, no box and manual like the ad stated. The guy said he'd look for the box for Gods, but looking at his ebay record, it appears he bought just the disks themselves only a few months back.

Lesson learned on my end, I feel like an idiot for assuming the ad was honest about the condition of this stuff. :/

Fortunately I saved an html copy of the original ad... I put a few key phrases in bold...

Buyer, I just want you to know that I have seen what you have posted here on Amiga.org

I should just have dumped it all in the trash, this is not worth it. I am done.

Man, I hate a sore looser.  This dude should have been more precise with his descriptions instead of trying to lump them all together.  now that he gets his hand smacked for something he did he gunna go throw a temper tantrum.

"should just have dumped it all in the trash..."  grow up!

Yep, no doubt.

The way I see it is this... if someone uses a public forum to advertise, I buy from them and there's something *significantly* wrong with the transaction, damn right I'll post something about it if we can't work it out first in private.

I've purchased games from plenty of folks here in the past with no problems whatsoever. If I want something, I pay immediately without haggling. I'm pretty easy to please, I understand this stuff is old, and I don't expect perfection.

However, I'm not just going to lie down and take it when someone can't own up to their mistake. It's not about the money or the games, LOL.

I was thinking about bidding on some of his auctions and I'm glad I didn't.  Something seemed fishy when what he advertised on here didn't match with what actually went up on Ebay and the photos in the auctions.  There is no way any of what he advertised on Ebay was mint as described and whether he wants to admit it or not, the value in these games is in being complete and mint, not in just having a working disc.  As far as I'm concerned, you have every right to post here and everywhere else unless this guy immediately refunds your money and anyone else who requests a refund.

@bojay1997

Yeah, I became nervous after seeing the auction pics. "Brand new, never opened" games clearly opened, used, creased, or no box (when the ad said it had one), and "original owner" titles he just bought cheap from the UK only a few months earlier.

Anyhow - final update:

PayPal only covers things lost in shipping, not the condition of items received.

Well done, riccofl! :pint: Oh well, no devastaing loss, next time I'll pay more attention.

If anyone wants to buy games from an honest seller, try this gal. She's a real sweetie, and her games are flawless as described. (*edit* I've also bought from J-Golden and a few others here, all turned out great.)
