Accelerators & PCMCIA?
« on: February 04, 2009, 02:23:03 PM »
I have a question about when an Amiga 1200 accelerator is labeled as "not compatible with PCMCIA cards when more then 4MB of memory is installed"...   Does that mean no PCMCIA functionality is available?  So I couldn't use a network card, CF card reader, etc?   Or I just can't use any PCMCIA memory expanders?

Thanks, for any help...

If you use more than 4Meg in an accelerator that has no CPU, then the memory is mapped into the PCMCIA's address space... the slot basically doesn't exist anymore. :-)
