Possibility of Super Volcano Eruption At Yellowstone

Last week there were several thousands earthquakes at Yellowstone park. According to scientist, 650 thousands years ago, there was a powerful super volcano eruption at Yellowstone with Vulcanic Eruption Index (VEI) of 8. The latest similar eruption occured more than 73 thousands years ago at Lake Toba, North Sumatra, Indonesia and almost make human being extinct. Only less than 10 thousands people survived the global disaster and climate change.

Fortunately according to USGS scientist, the super volcano eruption at Yellowstone today is unlikely.

What will happen if there is a super volcano eruption at Yellowstone this year, or 2010, or 2011 or 2012?

It has been suggested that aside from the relatively localised destruction caused by the eruption itself and the magma brought to the surface, the debris thrown in to the air would spread for thousands of kilometers and remain for long enough to cause long-term changes in weather patterns and block sunlight, affecting crop growth. Some even say it could trigger an ice age and could cause extinction of species.

Is Yellowstone considered to be in the "Ring Of Fire" that circles the Pacific?  I know Mt. St. Helens is.
