OS4 Emulation question!
« on: September 08, 2003, 07:09:25 PM »
Will OS4.0 Emulate WarpOS and PowerUp ppc kernels?

I ask because I thought I read something about rewriting populare WarpOS launchers.

Didn't know what that meant.

WarpUp emulation - yes, most likely.
PowerUp - no, most likely not.
Look out, I\'ve got a gun

@Rogue

Is this seamless integration, or will it require some kind of loading system?  And just for apps, or are WarpUP libraries included as well?

I am fairly certain that OS4 will be WarpOS
compatible.  I am sure the ppclibemu program
will continue to work well.  I guess will have to
wait till OS4.

Irrespective of 'out of the box' support, once OS4 has been out for a while and developers have gotten used to it, I'm sure it will run both happily via 3rd party solutions.

Was this not the case for PowerUP under WarpOS?
