Blitz Basic 2 versions

I'm trying to figure out which was the latest version of Blitz Basic compatible with OS1.3.   BB2 v1.7 seems to work, but v2.1 seems not to.

I got all the old versions from
http://www.back2roots.org/Tools/Dev/
http://www.config.freeuk.com/amiga/blitz/index.htm

I'd like to re-write some simple applications specifically for OS1.3.  Does anyone know which version of BB2 I should be targeting?
