One module 4 bit wide, meaning you could connect 4 of them to an 16bit bus
(like in the early Amigas) and get 512kbyte, or 8 to 1mbyte for 32bit systems.
The x1 modules would allway have to be grouped by 16 (32) and would form 2 (4) mbyte.

There are both 1mbit chips, which is the same as 128kbyte.
Only the organizations is different.
On a 8bit system you could add the x4 in pairs adding 256kbyte per pair and
the x1 in sets of 8 adding 1mbyte per set.

ok, so if I wanted 1 mb of ram on an 8bit bus with x4 id have 4 banks of 2 each = 1mb
x1 would be 1 bank with 8 chips =1mb
on a 16 bit bus I would double up the banks for double the ram per bank - correct??
:-?
