Amiga compatible Dell LCD's?
« on: September 28, 2011, 04:41:31 AM »
I know the U2311H and SR2320L will work, but they don't appear to be available any longer.

Any other currently sold Dell LCD's that have been tested and will work in normal PAL modes?

Been eyeing this

ST2320L, since it mentions being able to connect a gaming console, presumably through HDMI. So I figure it may accept an amiga as well (through vga). Or will it?

I notied the ST2320L as well, just before I picked up an SR2320L. The documented specifications are identical, but then again, it's an undocumented feature that the SR is Amiga-compatible.

Supplies of the SR seem to have dried up in the past few weeks. As of 9:15 EDT this morning, the Best Buy at 401 Park Dr. in Boston, MA 02215 has an SR in stock (at an obscene price) for in-store pickup...

I think there was also a 24-inch model mentioned in the thread here about the SR2320L. I think I found it for sale at a few places online but it cost more than I was willing to pay.

EDIT: I just did a quick search, and it looks like you can still get an SR shipped to a Best Buy in the Portland area, just not shipped to your house.

The main reason I was wondering about other models is we get a discount through Dell, so I was wondering about the ST or others.

They got the STs at Fry's, I'm not sure if there is a store near you. You can take your Amiga and try it.

There's a Fry's around though a tad of a drive. Think they'd actually let me hook up a computer to check it out?

Might raise a few eyebrows :roflmao:

If they want a SALE, they should. Find the display one, or buy it, if it doesn't work, return it.
