datatypes support for dpaint or brilliance

i want to open and save jpegs and gifs in dpaint and brilliance. is there a way to get these two to do this?

erm, well, yes, you need to track down 'DataChrome', given away on a Coverdisk some years back, or I believe a prog. called 'HappyDT' which is shareware or freeware. Check aminet, maybe. Even these progs. aren't totally perfect. Example, using DataChrome to load .JPEG's into DCTV Paint, the aspect ratio must be set manually... ugh...

who cares about aspect ratio when you have the actual length and width in pixels? ratios are non unique.
