Cyberstorm PPC Problems
« on: December 05, 2008, 04:49:01 AM »
Hello All,

I have A4000T with a Cyberstorm PPC Accelerator (Phase 5 made). I am trying to install Amiga OS4 but when I am trying to install it all I get are coloured flashing screens and then it crashes. Does anyone know of any utilities I can download to test if the PPC side of the accelerator is working using OS3.9.

Thanks in advance,
Merv Stent

What was in the CPU fast slot before you installed the CyberStormPPC accelerator card?

What color does the screen stop on, or does it continue to flash one color, or cycle through multiple colors?
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

you can get some PPC datatypes for decoding images. good for web browsers as it speeds up image rendering.
there is a PPC CPU meter
game demos
PPC demos on the PPC system cdrom? PPCmandel etc...
whichamiga should be able to detect a PPC
sysspeed shound be able to benchmark the PPC
or warpAmp/warpmpeg.librarys for mp3 and mpeg movie playback?
AMP (Amidog's Movie Player) to view DVD's?
TrueReality N64 emulator...
lots of things to download from aminet, and test under OS3.x :-)

A500, A600, A1200x3, A2000, A3000, A4000 & a CD32.
and probably just like the rest of you, crates full of related "treasure" for the above XD

the problem will be most possibly some hardware in ur system configuration, for instance enabled flashrom on debneb usb card which patches the original kickstart before os4 does it. the accel is suposedly working well. the right colors followup i get is something like red, blue and then magenta
