Help Needed with DPS Personal TBC 3 (Vt2500)
«

Hi Guys
Can someone help me with a DPS Personal TBC 3(vt2500) card for Amiga Video Toaster? I have it working ok, but it only takes the SVideo input. How do enable jumpers so that I can use it in BNC video mode? Does anyone have a link or can email/pm me a pdf of the manual please? Any help is appreciated.

Hope this helps:
DPS TBC's are serial controlled. The PhoneCord like port on the back of the TBC is a serial port. It can be used to connect to an amiga or pc serial port or a DPS TBC remote control. The S-Video to video IS switched through serial control. The toggle switch on the top-external-part of the
card is for genlock timing. Also the TBC-IV software will also control a TBC-III.
TBC III Image here with labels:
http://www.rabayjr.com/Amiga/DPS%20TBC%20III_03_resize.jpg
http://www.rabayjr.com/amiga_tbc.htm
DPS TBC Software is on this site in DMS Amiga Disk Image Format
http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/search.pl?dir=video
The Software is also here
http://www.leitch.com/custserv/WebDL.nsf/FF?OpenForm&TBC-III
The manual for the TBC IV (I Looked for III but only found IV)
http://www.leitch.com/custserv/doclib.nsf/SearchSV!OpenForm&Seq=1#_RefreshKW_Category
Select "VT-2600, VT-2600WB" in the list
You will get the manual in PDF format.
If you have an amiga 2000 , there is a way to connect the TBC to the internal amiga serial port. The cable might be easier to find than the special external TBC-III serial cable. The information is in the PDF.
And the last thing is you may just want to just get a s-video to composite video adapter. You need a male s-video to female bnc.
I found something close on this site, so yo may want to call or email them and tell them what you need. I bought cables from them before at local trade shows, so they should be ok.

Thanks for your nice response.
Unfortunately, I cannot get any files onto this amiga so cannot install the software. I'm wondering if there are jumper selections or something as I can only get the Svideo input to work not the regular NTSC input (which is default iirc) any other help from users would be appreciated

Pokemon - WOW that was quite a download on the TBC products. You know your stuff ! I've got one (TBC 2 only) and I learned stuff from your post I didn't know.
Magnetic- why can't you load files onto your Amiga 2000?

Thought you had your answer, so didnt look it up myself. I will try and remember to grab the manual tonight and give you the info you need. DO you have the serial cable for the TBC, because someone on here close to you can probably get you a floppy with the software if thats the issue. Actually I think its just a 720K floppy with both Amiga and DOS software on it to control the equipment.

Tigger:
Thanks alot. I actually have the software installed now and have the serial control, but cant use the NTSC bnc connector. I think its jumper related. I'm thrilled you have the manual. Its important and I look forward to hearing from you.

Look in SYS:S/TBC.defaults

BLACK +7.5
CHROMA 100.0
HUE +0.0
HORIZ +0.00
BLUE +0.0
RED +0.0
COARSE +0.00
FINE 90.0
STROBE 0
FIELD 1
INPUT COMPOSITE
FREEZE OFF
FMODE FRAME
MONO OFF
connect the serial cable and look at the line
